About Laura
I am a General Health Psychologist, Family Psychotherapist and University Lecturer, with more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of mental health and family psychotherapy.
Throughout my career I have worked in private practice and in various clinical settings, supporting adults, couples and families, as well as working with children and adolescents, parental guidance and parenting groups, especially during times of change, conflict or difficulty in development.
I have developed a specialisation in psychological support during motherhood and the perinatal period, from a multidisciplinary approach. I offer psychological counselling to mothers and mothers-to-be, emotional support during pregnancy, the postpartum period and the first months after birth, as well as psychological support for emotional difficulties that may arise at these stages, including the process of single motherhood.
I also work with families and individuals in multicultural contexts, supporting therapeutic processes in which cultural diversity, migration experiences and differences in values or family models are a central part of the reason for seeking help.
I combine clinical practice with university teaching, bringing academic rigour and clinical experience into every therapeutic process. I work from a close and professional stance, offering a safe space for emotional understanding, improving relationships and fostering personal and family wellbeing.
